I went in for two maybe three and left with six! Well, that's another story!
Kendall and Journey have been asking to have their ears pierce for nearly a year.
I had decided sometime ago that I would wait until all the girls were home.
The girls took turns taking the photos as I was the official hand holder! Yes, we have a couple drama queens in the mix!
Nothing like the comfort of your bear after you get your ears pierced!
We headed home for lunch and a quick rest before heading to our "planned" outing of the day, the zoo.
Kendall used my camera 90% of the time because she forgot hers. First activity, the sky lift!
Next up, the train!
A few of the animals with a self photo added in just because . . . she could!
When we arrived at the Rhino enclosure they were resting, then Mama stood . . .
then her baby stands and starts nursing!
There were elephants, monkeys, Mackinley and Eden!
This bear wasn't too friendly!
We saw peacocks and eagles too!
The sleeping otter was quickly awakened with the gift of food pellets!
We saw the big cats, a rather large turtle and a blind joey out for his exercise time. The trainer told us that he had been rejected by his mother and had been cared for by the zoo staff since birth.
A trip to the zoo would not be complete without a little time on the playground!
Eden was determined to keep up with Journey! Mackinley was fearful on some of the equipment and Kendall doesn't get into the competition mode, she is happy doing her own thing!
My camera battery ran out and I didn't capture them on the swings. I think that it is safe to say, "a good time was had by all"!
Oh . . . did you notice that all the girls had had haircuts?
