We have been home for twelve days, it seems longer in many ways.
We have visited the pediatrician, the International Adoption Clinic, the opthamologist (older girls), the dentist, orthodontist, an oral surgeon and returned to the dentist for the beginning of Mackinley's treatment plan. Our upcoming appointments include another trip or two to the oral surgeon (Eden) another visit this week to the dentist for Mackinley, then next week the opthamologist for the newbies!
Our travels have taken us to Birmingham, Opelika, and Dothan, all without motion sickness! Praising God for that blessing!
We have built bears, had our ears pierced, visited the zoo and added two new puppies to the household. Home school, a family birthday celebration, and trips out to eat and shopping have been just a part of the adventure.
Yes, we have broken just about every rule for coming home staying close and bonding! I wish I had the luxury of doing things more slowly, but I do not! You see, I have to go back to work and the more quickly I can get things done and a routine established the better off these girls will be.
Now let me say this, GOD has blessed me with two beautiful girls, they have an inner beauty that radiates from their core. I am reaping the blessing of two girls raised in different foster homes that were well loved! Only God could knit this family together in this manner.
These are the facts: the girls are sleeping and eating well. They are kind, gentle and go with the flow. They are bonding to me and to their sisters. Each has actively embraced their studies and surprise me daily with their ability to read and write English. We are learning together to be a family and I thank God for these two precious lives!
